- 1- 4.25 oz. oatmeal & almond bar soap
- 1 tablespoon glycerin
- 1 teaspoon liquid vitamin E
- 8 cups distilled water
- 2 drops lemon essential oil
- 5-10 drops lavender essential oil
Directions:
Grate the bar of soap with a cheese grater and set aside in a small bowl.
Boil 8 cups distilled water on the stove in a medium to large pot till it comes to a boil. Remove the pot from heat and add grated soap to water and stir until the soap dissolves, stir mixture throughout the day.
Add glycerin to the soap mixture and stir, let it sit for about 10-12 hours or overnight. After about 10-12 hours the consistency should turn into a thick gel.
Add the liquid vitamin E and 2 drops of lemon essential oil, you can also add 5-10 drops of lavender oil and put into a mixer and mix until you reach a thinner consistency. (Do Not add water).
I use a glass pump bottle, you can also add to a clean empty body wash, shampoo or conditioner pump bottle. This gives off a light oatmeal almond lemon scent. You are now ready to shower with your homemade oatmeal & almond lemon drop body wash.
Note:
Keep in mind that homemade body wash will not lather up as much as commercial ones because you are not adding any sudsing agents to the recipe.
Enjoy your Oatmeal Almond Lemon Drop Body Wash!
Happy Cleaning!
