HOW TO TACKLE DIRT, CLUTTER, & ORGANIZATION IN YOUR KITCHEN
Rosemary Spray Cleaner for Wood Cabinets:
This recipe is a natural way to clean the grime off your cabinetry and leaving them with a fresh shine.
- 1/2 cup water
- 8 drops rosemary essential oil
- 1/2 cup white distilled vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. Olive Oil Directions: Combine ingredients into a 16 oz. spray bottle. Shake bottle well each time you apply and spray directly on the cabinetry. Wipe clean with a dry microfiber cloth.
Clean and organize countertops, this is a great recipe for an all-natural purpose cleaner and you can use this for several cleaning tasks around the house. It has a nice soothing aroma. Do not use on marble, granite, or quartz, it’s best to use water and a microfiber cloth on stone surfaces.
Lavender All-Purpose Spray Cleaner:
- 2 tbsp. of vinegar
- 1 tsp. borax
- 2 drops nontoxic dish soap
- 10-15 drops lavender essential oils Directions: Fill a 16-oz. spray bottle 3⁄4 full with hot water, then add vinegar, borax, lavender essential oil & nontoxic liquid dish soap. Shake bottle well until the borax is dissolved. Now you are ready to tackle the dirt and grime from your kitchen counters. Use a microfiber cloth to clean.
DECLUTTER YOUR COUNTERTOPS AND CUPBOARDS
Find a place to store items so you can keep the clutter down. If you don’t use it, get rid of it! You can donate to goodwill, or if you have enough items to put together and sell them in a garage sale. Less is more! I use an iron coffee mug tree stand for storing my coffee cups on my countertop, this also works great if you lack cupboard space. I also use one area to store all of my Rae Dunn Pottery. The brown wood and metal double top shelf is great for organization, it holds my canisters at the top and extra bowls on the bottom shelf. You can find this at Hobby Lobby arts and crafts stores.

Wow! I didn’t know you could use olive oil in cleaning. Question though, Doesn’t olive oil make the wood a little slippery?
Hi Erica, Its fine for using it on your cupboards but if you use it on your floors, just use about once a month or so and add vinegar to the mix.
