GET YOUR 2020 VISION AND SET CLEANING GOALS FOR THE NEW YEAR!
Setting goals for your cleaning routine will help alleviate the daily stress the busy moms go through when they feel there isn’t enough time in the day! If you set your goals and get into the habit of maintaining a clean house, it won’t feel like it’s taking up all of your time.
Schedule early morning routines, give yourself a 30-minute head start in the morning while the kids are still sleeping. Follow the cleaning task you can finish in 30 minutes. Who wants to spend all day on their cleaning chores? Especially the busy moms who don’t have time to clean all day. You can always hire a cleaning service but not all have the budget to do so.
Here are some quick cleaning tips/tasks for the busy moms you can tackle in 30 minutes before work. Gather all of your cleaning supplies and stock them in a caddy with a handle for easy access, it’s easier to carry them with you from room to room on cleaning day, this will cut down on time spent running back and forth trying to find the appropriate supplies you need to clean each room. (Have them stocked and ready to go for your morning cleaning routine).
- You can also split the time up and do 15 minutes each morning and 15 minutes each evening
- Ask for help from your partner if you need it
- Don’t stress about getting your house all cleaned in one day
- Do a little each day
Set a timer for each area of the room you clean.

- Quickly rinse and load dishes in the dishwasher

Bathroom-5 minutes

Bedroom-5 minutes
- Make Bed
- Pick up soiled clothing, put in the dirty laundry basket
- Dust furniture
Laundry-5 minutes
- Gather all of the soiled laundry baskets and separate colors and start a load of laundry
- Try to do one load of laundry per day
- Pick up where you left off the next day and set your alarm 30 minutes early and schedule another 30-minute cleaning task.
- This saves you from doing all your chores at one time and it makes it easier for you to clean rather than making it a full and exhausting day. After work, you get to come home to a neat and clean house!
- Rinse and repeat!
I love the idea of breaking tasks down, it certainly makes it look more manageable.

Hi Maggie, I’m glad I could help! 😉
This is great advice!
Thank you!
Breaking tasks makes things easier. We make a giant list of each task at our house and our family takes one on. It has been great for everyone in the house pitching in!
